Gold Coast has so many beaches to enjoy. From Coolangatta Beach all the way up to The Spit, you have 50 km of beaches to enjoy. If you are looking for surf beaches, try Currumbin, Kirra, Burleigh/Burleigh Heads; The Spit is best for learning to surf but there are a number of other options too. If you are looking for a calm and family-friendly beach, you can head to Nobby’s Beach, Main Beach, Tallebudgera Beach (very popular for families), Palm Beach, Miami, Tugun/Bilinga, Currumbin. The best beaches for a walk are Coolangatta, Miami and Surfers Paradise.

2. Go Attraction Hopping

After its stunning beaches, Gold Coast is perhaps best known for its many tourist attractions. From the theme parks to the wildlife sanctuaries and the family entertainment attractions in between, you could spend weeks just visiting all of the region’s tourist hotspots. This could be one of the most costly parts of your trip but the attractions really are first-rate here.

3. Cultural Experiences

Head to Burleigh Heads Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre and embrace the daily cultural tours. Go on a Walkabout Tour and learn about the cultural background of the Jellurgal people or enjoy an ochre presentation, meet a Traditional Owner and listen to Dreamtime Stories. Or better yet, go on a Jellurgal Journey where you immerse yourself in the culture, watch a live Aboriginal dance performance and learn so much more about the Aboriginal Culture.

4. Wineries or Breweries

The Gold Coast is known for its multiple breweries and wineries so why not indulge while you’re here? Burleigh Brewing Co., Black Hops (Burleigh Heads), Tamborine Mountain Distillery, Witches Fall Winery (Mount Tamborine), Fortitude Valley Winery (Mount Tamborine), O’Reilly’s Canungra Vineyard and Beenleigh Artisan Distillery are all great spots.

5. Discover the O’Reillys Rainforest

From a day trip to a weekend stay, you can enjoy the Gold Coast Hinterland by walking in the Lamington National Park or adventuring on the Tree Top Walk. Adventure within the O’Reilly’s Rainforest and enjoy a segway ride around the retreat or even adventure on the Flying Fox. Feed the birds (10am and 4pm daily) and surround yourself with beautiful nature.

6. Have an Adventure

If you are looking for something more adventurous, the Gold Coast can deliver! Gold Coast SkyPoint Climb, indoor and outdoor Skydiving, Hot Air Balloon rides through the hinterland and Jet Boating at Surfers Paradise are all great ways to get the adrenaline pumping. If you love views then this is one for you. Located 230 metres off the ground with 360 degrees views encompassing Brisbane, Gold Coast Hinterland, Byron Bay and Pacific Ocean, the views are second to none. 7. Shopping

The Gold Coast is rich with shopping options. With Harbour Town at Helensvale, Australia Fair at Broadwater and Pacific Fair at Broadbeach. you can shop till you drop. The good thing is that you won’t even need a car to get from shop to shop as the Gold Coast G-Link is connected between all of these shopping centres.
